The River at Régina

The Approuague is a river in France, which runs in the same region of French Guiana in the overseas department of French Guiana. It rises in the Massif Emerillon, in the municipality of Régina, drained generally in a northeasterly direction and ends after 335 kilometers at the Pointe Behague, still in the municipality of Régina in the Atlantic Ocean. Already above the village Régina the river is already exposed to the tides and thus forms an approximately 50 km long estuary. In this area, it also passes through the Regional Natural Park of Guyana ( Cayenne sector ).
