Apramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic, which is used exclusively in veterinary medicinal products. In countries of the European Union apramycin for pigs, rabbits, sheep, cattle and chickens is allowed. It should not be used in animals from which eggs or milk is produced for human consumption.
Examples of applications:
- Calf: infections caused by coliform bacteria and salmonella
- Lamb: infections caused by coliform bacteria
- Swine: Bacterial Enteritis
- Poultry: septicemia caused by Escherichia coli
