Aq Bars

The coat of arms of the Republic of Tatarstan ( Tatar Ак Барс, rewritten or Aq Bars Ak Bars, to German white Irbis ) is a state symbol of Tatarstan and official since February 7, 1992 coat of arms of the autonomous republic.

The coat of arms is in the national colors of Tatarstan - red, green and white - held. The central element of the emblem is a winged white Irbis, with raised right front paw on a cadmium red sun disc. The Irbis carries a sign with an aster rosette consisting of eight petals. Outlined is the solar disk by a white border, followed by a gold-tone Tatar ornament on cobalt green ground. At the lower part of the ornament is the inscription of Tatarstan.

The current coat of arms was created by Nasym Gabdrachmanowitsch Chansafarow and Rif Zägri Uli Fäxretdinev.
