Aragarças Microregion

The micro-region Aragarcas is a total of 18 micro-regions of the State of Goiás in the Midwest of Brazil. It belongs to mesoregion Northwest Goiás. Since 2000, the region suffered a population decline of about 55,000 residents to about 44,000 residents by 2010, which corresponds to a loss of minus 20%.

Geographical location

The micro-region borders Aragarcas

• In the north- east on the community Jussara, which belongs to the micro- region of Rio Vermelho
• To the east by the micro-region Iporá which belongs to mesoregion Central Goiás
• To the south by the micro-region of Southwest de Goiás in the mesoregion South Goiás
• To the northwest by the State of Mato Grosso.
