Arame of Urartu

Aramu, also Arame or Arama, was 858-844 BC Urartian king. He is the first historically known ruler of the newly created Urartian state in the region of Van and Lake Urmia. He was defeated in several battles the Assyrian king Šulmanu - ašared III. It is believed that the creation of Tuspa is due to Aramu.
