Arata Fujiwara

Arata Fujiwara (Japanese藤原 新, Arata Fujiwara, born September 12, 1981 in Isahaya, Nagasaki Prefecture) is a Japanese marathon runner.

In 2006, he was sixth at Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon, but broke out shortly thereafter with his debut on the 42,195 - km - distance and arrived at the Lake Biwa Marathon in 2:38:37 h on the 85th.

The following year he was behind Röthlin second at the Tokyo Marathon in 2:08:40 h Subsequently, he was nominated for the Olympic Games in Beijing as a substitute.
