Arben Xhaferi

Arbën Xhaferi ( Macedonian Арбен Џафери; born January 24, 1948 in Tetovo; † August 15, 2012 in Skopje ) was a Macedonian politician who until his death for 18 years Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, between 1997 and 2007 Chairman of the Albanian democratic Party.

Life

Xhaferi, who holds a degree in Philosophy, was originally worked as a journalist and worked for the radio and television stations in Kosovo, where he was editor in chief of the cultural program in Pristina until 1990. In 1994 he was first elected as a candidate of the Party for Democratic upswing ( partia për Prosperitet Demokratik PDP) for the Members of the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia and occupied this position until his death.
