The Arc is a river in southern France, which runs in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur. It rises in the municipality of Saint -Maximin- la -Sainte -Baume, drained generally in a westerly direction, crosses the city Aix -en- Provence and leads finally to 83 kilometers in the municipality of Berre- l'Étang in the saltwater lake Etang de Berre, a bay of the Mediterranean, which is located west of Marseille. On his way to the Arc crosses the Var and Bouches -du -Rhône.
Caution: Not to be confused with the 128 km long Arc (Savoie), a tributary of the Isère.
