Arcadocypriot Greek

The Arcadian - Cyprian is an ancient Greek dialect that was spoken in Arcadia and Cyprus. He descends from the Mycenaean Greek. In geographically isolated areas of Arcadia and Cyprus this form of speech remained intact even after the Dorian invasion.

Little is known about the Arcadian - Cypriot dialect. Literature is not recorded in this form of language, the only sources are inscriptions. In Cyprus, the Arcadian - Cyprian was posted to the 3rd century BC with the Cypriot syllabary.

Certain linguistic similarities probably also had the dialect of Pamphylian colonies.
