Angela had Michael Amott, passed a demo tape during an interview that had taken place earlier in the same year. From March 2007, Christopher Amott returned to the band, replacing Fredrik Åkesson, who joined Opeth, on guitar. After that, the band worked on the album Rise of the Tyrant, which was released on 24 September 2007.
