Archduchess Maria Johanna Gabriela of Austria
Johanna Gabriela of Austria (or Johanna Gabriele; Complete name Johanna Josepha Antonia Gabriela ) ( born February 4, 1750 in Vienna, † December 23, 1762 ) was the eighth daughter and eleventh child of Maria Theresa and Emperor Francis I Stephen.
Johanna Gabriela was regarded as particularly endearing and good-natured and was therefore at the imperial court and also in the great imperial family very popular. Especially her one year younger sister Archduchess Maria Josepha she was very fond, the two shared the nursery and nanny ( also known as Aja ).
Johanna Gabriela died on December 23, 1762 of smallpox and is, like many of her siblings, buried in the imperial crypt. Her heart was buried separately and is located in the heart of the Habsburg crypt in the Loreto chapel, Vienna St. Augustine's Church.
