The Cape Arktitscheski (also Arctic Cape, Russian Мыс Арктический / Mys Arktitscheski ) is the northernmost point of the Severnaya Zemlya Archipelago.

Location

Cape Arktitscheski is on the Komsomolets Island, which belongs to the archipelago Severnaya Zemlya in the Arctic Ocean.

Due to the distance to the North Pole of 990.7 km Cape occasionally serves as a starting point for expeditions to the North Pole.

Occasionally, Cape Arktitscheski to as the northernmost point of Russia and thus called Eurasia. This award is, however, at Cape Fligely on Franz Josef Land.
