Location of Arda

The Arda is a tributary of the Po, in the Italian region Emilia -Romagna. It rises at an altitude of 1200 meters in the Ligurian Apennines to the north-west slopes of Monte Lama near the town of Morfasso. 15 km after its source feeds the river to about 2 km ² large lake Lago di Mignano at an altitude of 341 meters. It serves both the water supply and electricity generation.

Before the Arda reached the Po Valley, it flows through the communities Lugagnano Val d' Arda and Castell'Arquato. Just before its mouth at Polesine Parmense he connects to the Ongina.
