The Arda ( Bulg Арда, Greek Ardas Άρδας, lat Artiscus ) is a river in southern Bulgaria and northeast Greece in ancient Thrace. It is about 300 kilometers long, flowing 241 km on Bulgarian territory.

The source of Arda is located near the summit Ardin in the Bulgarian Rhodopes. The Arda then flows further on Greek territory, until it opens out at the Greek-Turkish border near the town of Edirne and the place Karagaç in the Maritsa. In the course of the river Arda are the reservoirs Kardzhali and Studen Kladenez.

Inflows to Arda are the Wirbiza and Krumowiza.
