The Ardex GmbH (proper spelling ARDEX ) is a manufacturer of specialty materials for the building trade based in Witten and is headed as a family of Mark Eslamlooy as Chairman of the Board and Ulrich Dahl Hoff and Rüdiger Oberste- Padtberg. In 2011, a turnover of € 465 million was achieved with 1,800 employees in the group.

The company ranks among the world leaders in the field of specialty chemical materials and is represented by 36 companies operating in over 50 countries.

The 1949 Chemical as NORWAG -Werke GmbH factory, Witten, established companies dealt first with the fabrication of metal-working oils, putty and waxes. In the early 1950s the company was renamed Ardex Chemie GmbH.

The positive market response to the launch of a newly developed floor filler was the beginning of today, sustained positive business development.

Over the years the product range has been expanded and now covers many areas of construction chemical products: Structural products for concrete cosmetics and repair, bitumen products for building sealing, quick-setting cements, screeds, ground preparation, floor leveling compounds for equalizing and leveling subfloors, epoxy industrial floor coating floor surfaces in residential and industrial area, waterproofing under ceramic tiles, tile adhesives for tiles, natural stones and insulation materials, grouts for tiles and marble silicone sealants for the construction industry, wall putties to smooth wall surfaces, flooring and parquet adhesives for carpet, hardwood, etc.

Ardex has been voted one of the TOP 100 most innovative companies in the German Mittelstand 2005.

Investments

  • 2000 took over Ardex the American W. W. Henry Company, and in 2002 the British Norcros group and opened up so markets in Australia, China and the United States.
  • Since 2005, the company based in Barsbuettel Lugato also belongs to the Ardex group.
  • 2012: Ardex acquires majority stake in QUICSEAL Construction Chemicals in Asia
  • 2014: Ardex assumes the GUTJAHR Systemtechnik GmbH
