Ardicino della Porta, iuniore

Ardicino della Porta (also: Ardicino della Porta, the younger, * 1434 in Novara, † September 4, 1493 in Rome) was bishop of Aleria, appointed administrator of Olomouc and cardinal.

Ardicino was bishop of Aleria in Corsica. After 1484 his uncle Giovanni Battista Cibo was elected Pope, he rose Ardicino della Porta on March 4, 1489 to Cardinal and appointed him titular church of Santi Giovanni e Paolo in Rome.

On June 3, 1489 Pope Ardicino della Porta appointed administrator of Olomouc, although the former administrator Johann Filipec was still in office. The Olomouc cathedral chapter was not involved. The Pope appealed to be cast right after he had agreed to the requests of Johann Filipec resignation. With this appointment, it was all about the connection with the duties benefice. Ardicino della Porta never entered the territory of the diocese of Olomouc. In 1492 he gave up the office.
