Are You Gonna Go My Way is the third studio album by Lenny Kravitz. It was published in March 1993 by Virgin Records.
On the origin
The album was recorded in the Waterfront Studios in Hoboken, New Jersey. Musically, it was inspired by artists like Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Curtis Mayfield, Sly and Robbie, and Prince, so had a rather style similar to the 1970 style on. Craig Ross took some guitar tracks and also wrote several plays, including the title track, which became a hit. The accompanying music video won an MTV Video Music Award.
Success
The album peaked at number twelve on the Billboard 200 and double platinum in the U.S., seventh place in the German charts and number one in the UK and Australia. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of Allmusic called the most consistent album of Lenny Kravitz and rated it 4.5 stars out of 5
