Aref Ali Nayed

Aref Ali Nayed (Arabic عارف علي نايض; * 1962 in Benghazi, Libya) is a specialist on Islamic philosophy scholar. He is Libyan Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates. He is the founder and president of Kalam Research & Media in the United Arab Emirates.

He is a former professor at the Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies in Rome, former professor at the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization ( ISTAC ) in Malaysia; He is Senior Advisor to the Cambridge Interfaith Program at the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter A Common Word between Us and You (English A Common Word Between Us and You), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (English " Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... " ) submitted (13 October 2007).

He is one of the Senior Fellows of the Royal Aal al - Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought ( Royal Aal Al- Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought ).

He was the delegation members of the Muslim delegation from the second seminar of the Catholic- Muslim Forum.
