The Aréna Jacques Plante is a multi-purpose hall in the Canadian city of Shawinigan, Quebec City. It was built in 1937 and has 2,524 seats. In the arena were from 1969 to 2008 home games Cataractes de Shawinigan, a Canadian ice hockey team played. The hall is named after Jacques Plante, but the building was in the past Shawinigan Municipal Auditorium. The arena was closed in December 2008 and the team moved to the Centre Bionest de Shawinigan their new home ground.
