The Ratiopharm Arena (proper spelling: ratiopharm arena ) is an indoor arena in New Ulm. In addition to a hall with 6,000 seats for basketball games and up to 9,000 seats for concerts include a coach parking, car parking with a total of 1,750 parking spaces and a car park with 250 spaces for VIP visitors to the complex. Main users of the hall is the basketball team ratiopharm Ulm, which had also provided the impetus for the construction of such a multifunctional hall. The previously used Kuhberg Hall on the Ulm Cow Mountain with officially 3,000 standing and seats no longer met the requirements of the National Basketball League. With the completion of the Ratiopharm Arena this deficiency could be remedied. At least 17 times playing basketball of ratiopharm Ulm during the main round of the National Basketball League in the arena, and in addition to all home games during the playoffs. 2013 will be held in the Ratiopharm Arena BEKO Supercup for the first time. The participating nations are: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Greece and Macedonia.

Apart from the sporting events take place in the Ratiopharm Arena regularly hosts concerts, fairs and business events. Criticism
The cost of the construction of the hall and the resulting for the use of operating costs had to first find a carrier.
