Aretha Franklin

Aretha Louise Franklin ( born March 25, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee) is an American soul singer and pianist. It is also called the "First Lady of Soul" or "Queen of Soul". Life

Aretha Franklin was born on 25 March 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee. Her father, Clarence LaVaughn Franklin was a famous Baptist preacher in the United States. Aretha grew up with four siblings in the industrial city of Detroit ( Michigan ) on. Very early on she came through her ​​father with the music in touch. She sang with her two sisters Carolyn and Erma in the choir of New Bethel Baptist Church of her father.
