Argaeus I of Macedon

Argaios (Greek Ἀργαῖος ) was the son of Perdiccas and was named after this king of Macedon. He ruled at the end of the 7th century BC

According to the ancient king lists he reigned 38 years; reported by Diodorus 31 Junianus Justin that he ruled wisely and so won the affection of his subjects. He was succeeded by his son Philip.
