ARGO SpA

The ARGO SpA is a group of companies that is owned by the Italian Morra family. The turnover is 831 million euros, and it employed about 1600 people.

History

1994 ARGO acquired by Massey Ferguson majority shareholding Landini. A year later acquired Argo also Valpadana.

Following the merger of New Holland and Case Corporation, CNH Global, these were forced to sell their work in Doncaster and the McCormick brand, whereupon it was taken over by ARGO. The plant in Doncaster was closed in late 2007.

2001, the Italian Laverda SpA was taken, which in turn 2004, the Fella -Werke took over. Since 2007, ARGO shares ownership of Laverda - and thus Fella - in a 50 percent joint venture with AGCO. End of 2010, AGCO announced its intention to buy the remaining shares of Laverda and thus the Fella -Werke. This acquisition was completed in March 2011.
