The Greek community Argos - Mycenae (Greek Argos Mykines Άργος - Μυκήνες ) was formed on 1 January 2011 from the merger of eight municipalities in the western part of the Argolis. Geography

Argos - Mycenae covers most of the plain of the River Inachus, the flows completely within the territory of the municipality and flows south into the Gulf of Argolis, on the northwestern foothills bordering the community. History

The municipality is one of the centers of the Mycenaean civilization of the second millennium BC. Traces of the Neolithic settlement from the third millennium BC can be found at the excavation site Lerna. From the Archaic and Classical period of ancient Greece, the remains of the Heraions of Argos and the ancient ruins of the city of Argos have received.

Policy

Traffic
