Ari Ahonen
Ari Pekka Ahonen ( born February 6, 1981 in Jyväskylä ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender who stands since June 2013 at the Barys Astana in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career
Ari Ahonen began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior division of JYP Jyväskylä, in which he was active until 1999. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1999 in the first round than a total of 27 players from the New Jersey Devils. First, however, the goalkeeper moved within his native Finland to HIFK Kelsinki for whose first team he was two years in the SM- liiga between the posts. In the summer of 2001 he was ordered by his Draft Team New Jersey Devils to North America, played in the next five years, but only for their farm team in Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League. The 2006/07 season he joined the Espoo Blues in the SM- liiga, but moved after only five games within the league to Jokerit Helsinki. With Jokerit he reached the end of the season, the playoff final, in which he was subject, however Kärpät Oulu with his team.
For the season 2007/ 08 Ahonen has been committed by the Frölunda HC of the Swedish Elitserien. There he lost in the following game Wedding a regular place, after which he returned to the SM- liiga, where he KalPa Kuopio joined. In KalPa he played for two years, before the Finn in November 2011 received a contract with HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. In Magnitogorsk, he was first-choice goalkeeper until the end of the 2012/13 season and had a good statistical values . In June 2013 he left the club and moved within the league to Barys Astana.
Internationally
For Finland Ahonen took at junior level at the U18 World Junior Championship in 1999 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2000 and 2001 in part. In the 1999 U18 World Championships he won the gold medal with his team. In addition, he was voted the best goalkeeper and into the All -Star team of the tournament. In addition, he pointed to the lowest Gegentorschnitt and the best fishing quota. At the 2001 U-20 World Cup, he won the silver medal with his team and was voted into the All -Star team.
In the senior level, he in 2007 was up from their country in the Euro Hockey Tour, remained as a substitute goalkeeper but without the use.
