Ari Fleischer

Lawrence Ari Fleischer ( born October 13, 1960 in Pound Rice, New York) is an American specialist in Public Relations and a former spokesman for the White House under President George W. Bush ( White House Press Secretary ).

Life

Fleischer is the son of a Hungarian-Jewish mother, who left Hungary in 1939; Family members perished in the Holocaust. He graduated in 1982 from Middlebury College with a degree in political science and then worked as press secretary for the Republican Party.

In 1992 he supported as Vice - Head of Communications which ultimately unsuccessful re-election campaign of President George Bush. In the 2000 presidential campaign he was on the staff of his son George W. Bush, who appointed him after his election victory for press secretary. The political communication during the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001 was a big challenge for him. In 2003, he left office; his successor Scott McClellan.

Since then Butcher has been working with two of his own companies in the consulting field. Among other things, it acts as a media consultant to the NFL football team, the Green Bay Packers. He is also on the board of directors of the Republican Jewish Coalition lobbying group.
