Ari Sandel

Ari Sandel is an American director with Israeli roots. With West Bank Story, he won the Academy Award for Best Short Film in 2007.

He grew up in Calabasas (California), Ari Sandel studied at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he earned a degree in Media Arts. Addition, he holds a degree in Middle East Studies.

Ari Sandel directed the documentary Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days & 30 Nights - Hollywood to the Heartland (2006 ), in which, inter alia, Vince Vaughn starred. Premiered the short film at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Sandel has traveled several times to the Middle East, which is also a central aspect of the political organizations to which he belongs.
