Arianne Phillips

Arianne Phillips ( born April 26, 1963 in New York City ) is an American costume designer.

Career

Since the 90s, she was involved as a costume designer on various film productions. These included films like " Tank Girl ", " Girl, Interrupted " and " One Hour Photo ". For their work on the Johnny Cash biopic "Walk The Line" in 2006, she received her first Oscar nomination. In addition to a nomination for the costumes in the movie " A Single Man " at the BAFTA Awards 2012 Phillips received her second Oscar nomination for the film " WE".

Arianne Philips has also worked as a costume stylist for Madonna. She has been designing here for the past four tours of Madonna costumes. Also for other pop artists like Justin Timberlake, Lenny Kravitz and No Doubt she was already active.

Arianne Phillips has been nominated twice for an Academy Award in the category Best Costume. 2006 "Walk The Line" and 2012 for " W. E. ". For a " Costume Designers Guild Award " Phillips has been nominated four times, being in 2012 with the award " Excellence in Costume Design for Film - Period" for their work on the film "WE" was honored. The other nominations were for " death train to Yuma ," " Walk the Line " and " Hedwig and the Angry Inch ".
