Arie van Houwelingen

Arie van Houwelingen ( born November 28, 1931 in Boskoop ) is a former Dutch cyclist.

Arie van Houwelingen was a specialist for pacemaker race. In this discipline, the protege of Stayers World Champion Cor Blekemolen 1959 world champion of amateurs. The year before, he had already occupied the third place World Cup. Three times he was also second in the Dutch stayer championships.

In the year of his world championship victory Arie van Houwelingen was elected to the Netherlands "Sportsman of the Year".
