Ariel Ibagaza

Ariel Miguel Santiago Ibagaza ( born October 27, 1976 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine football player with Spanish passport.

Career

In the club

The dual citizenship, started his professional career at Lanus in Argentina. In 1998 he moved to Europe to RCD Mallorca on the Balearic Island. At the beginning of the 2003/ 04 Ibagaza moved to Atlético Madrid. There, he played from 2003 to 2006. For season 2006/ 07 he went back to Mallorca before he joined Villarreal in the summer of 2008. For the season 2010/11 El Caño changed, as he was nicknamed, free transfer to the Greek giants Olympiakos Piraeus.

Ibagaza has played twice in the Argentine national team.
