Arild Holm

Arild Ragnar Holm ( born February 11, 1942 in Stjørdal ) is a retired Norwegian alpine skier. He gained notoriety primarily for his extraordinary achievements in the Norwegian championships in the first half of the 1960s. He managed to win a total of 15 titles in all four then discharged disciplines. Due to this he is standing together with Aksel Lund Svindal, Kjetil André Aamodt behind (22 wins) on the second place in the all men's leaderboard in these competitions.

At the World Cup 1962 in Chamonix, he finished 15th in the slalom, ranked 28th in the downhill, ranked 29th in the giant slalom and thus number 7 in the calculated from all three contests combined. In 1964 Holm participated in the Winter Olympic Games in Innsbruck, which were simultaneously counted as Alpine World Ski Championships. In the giant slalom, he was ranked 21 in the slalom and 35th in the downhill, he came as the 38th to the finish.
