Arimasa Osawa
Arimasa Osawa (Japanese大 沢 在 昌, Osawa Arimasa; born March 8, 1956 in Nagoya, Japan) is a Japanese author of hardboiled detective novels and thrillers. He broke off to study at Keio University.
Even as a schoolboy published Osawa first texts, later had his detective novels initially with little success, although he in 1979 won the first prize for crime fiction -comers. With the first volume of the Shinjuku Shark series ( 1990ff. ) he finally made a breakthrough. Since then, Osawa is one of the most successful crime writers in Japan.
In addition to the shark from Shinjuku Osawa is also the author of two other crime series, about the private investigator Ko Sakuma (1980-2000) and arubaito. ( 1986-2004 ).
In German have been published, the first and second part of the Shinjuku Shark series in specializing in Japanese literature cass publishing in the translation of Katja Busson.
