Features

In the southeast, it occurs to Bulgaria. In the northeast, the species is demonstrated to the Baltic states. In the north, the range extends to southern Scandinavia. Now she has been abducted to North America.

System

The species was formerly united with the garden slug (Arion hortensis ) to one species. In more recent work, the congregation slug but consistently regarded as an independent species. In many areas of Central Europe both species occur together. A junior synonym of Commons slug Arion is cottianus Pollonera 1889. Some authors divide the genus Arion into four subgenera.
