Aris Brimanis
Aris A. Brimanis ( born March 14, 1972 in Shaker Heights, Ohio ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since December 2011 the Hannover Indians in the second hockey league under contract.
Career
Brimanis was during his time on the Junior Bowling Green State University and was available for their team in the game operation of the National Collegiate Athletic Association on the ice. NHL Entry Draft 1991 Philadelphia Flyers selected the defender in the fourth round of at position 86. In the 1993/94 season made his NHL debut Brimanis, but often played in the American Hockey League with the Hershey Bears. Brimanis played two years at the Kloten Flyers in Switzerland, and finally moved to season 2007/ 08 at the Hannover Scorpions in the German Hockey League, where he was in season 2009/10 German masters. In May 2011, the Scorpions announced that Brimanis does not receive a new contract for the 2011/12 season. In December 2011 Brimanis was committed by the Hannover Indians, whose current head coach Christian Künast had worked as an assistant coach of Hannover Scorpions with him.
