Arisa

Arisa ( born August 20, 1982 in Genoa; actually Rosalba Pippa ) is an Italian pop singer.

Life

Arisa was born in Genoa, but after a week, the family moved back to Pignola in the province of Potenza, where she grew up. Her stage name Arisa is an acronym made ​​up of the initial letters of the names of their family members together: Antonio (her father ), Rosalba ( herself), Isabella and Sabrina ( her sisters ) and Assunta (her mother ).

At the age of four, she first took part in a singing contest. Later more starts followed at regional events. In her youth Arisa took over as an autodidact their musical knowledge primarily from recordings of known artists that she studied minutely and so appropriated vocal and breathing techniques. At the age of 16, she first won a singing contest with the song My All by Mariah Carey. Then Arisa appeared in numerous venues and festivals.

Upon completion of the educational school Arisa pulled to study age of 19 to Milan. Three years later, she returned to her parents in the south, where he worked as a beautician with a focus on make-up for theater performances.

In 2007 she won a scholarship to the Centro Europeo Toscolano ( CET ), a project begun by Mogol Institute for the Promotion of young musical talent. There she met the songwriter Giuseppe Anastasi know and was supervised by the producer Maurizio Filardo and Giuseppe Mangiaracina.
