Aristide Cavallari

Aristide Cardinal Cavallari ( born February 8, 1849 in Chioggia, Venice, Italy Province; † November 24, 1914 in Venice) was Archbishop and Patriarch of Venice.

Life

Aristide Cavallari received his education in the seminary of Chioggia and Venice. In 1872 he received the sacrament of Holy Orders and was then used as a parish pastor in Venice.

1903 he was appointed by Pope Pius X. titular bishop of Philadelphia in Lydia and Auxiliary Bishop in Venice. The bishop ordained Aristide Cavallari by Francesco Cardinal Satolli. In 1904 he was first Vicar General, a few months later Patriarch of Venice. 1907 took him to the Pope as the cardinal priest with the titular church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin per hac vice in the College of Cardinals to. Aristide took part in the conclave of 1914. He died on 24 November 1914 and was in the cemetery " S. Michele " buried in Venice. In 1957 his remains were transferred to the cathedral of Venice.
