Arithmancy

Arithmomantie denotes a antique Greek Wahrsagungstechnik by numbers. The term is composed of words arithmos (Number) and manteia ( divination ). It has been assigned to each character a value. When fighting, for example, was predicted, which would win the counterparty, ie the fighter whose name has the higher value.

This technique was widely used in Mesopotamia.
