Ariyalur district

The district Ariyalur (Tamil: அரியலூர் மாவட்டம் ) is a district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Administrative center is the eponymous town of Ariyalur.

Geography

The District Ariyalur is located in the central inland Tamil Nadu and has an area of ​​1944 km ². In the south, marked the Kollidam, a tributary of the Kaveri the border of the district, in the north of the district of the river Vellar flows. History
