The Arizona Cardinals are an American football team in the American Professional Football League National Football League ( NFL) from Glendale, Arizona. They belong together with the St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks of the West Division of the National Football Conference within (NFC ).

The Cardinals are the oldest existing American football team of the United States and today have their headquarters in Tempe, Arizona.

History

In 1898 the Morgan Athletic Club was founded in Chicago. The club was called then Racine Normals since he had settled at the Racine Avenue Chicago in Normal Park. He changed the name again in Racine Cardinals after the reddish- brown color jersey has been introduced. The Cardinals then teamed up with the Chicago Maroons.

The Maroons had emerged from the Ragen 's Athletic and Benevolent Association, who had founded in the early 20th century in Chicago. However, the sports and charity criminalized and the members were called ' Ragen 's Colts " notorious; Leader Frank Ragen was even chief of police in Chicago.
