Arkady Vyatchanin

Arkadi Arkadyevitch Wjattschanin (Russian Аркадий Аркадьевич Вятчанин, scientific transliteration Arkady Arkad'evič Vjatčanin; born April 4, 1984 in Vorkuta ) is a Russian backstroke swimmer.

Career

Arkadi Wjattschanin is a specialist for the backstroke. The student trained in Taganrog since 1999 and belongs since 2000 to the Russian national team. In the 2003 World Cup in Barcelona Wjattschanin won the silver medal in the 100m backstroke and the 4 × 100 -meter medley relay. Followed in 2004, in Indianapolis winning the bronze medals with the medley relay and the 200 m backstroke at the Short Course World Championships. About 50 m and 100 m backstroke occupied Wjattschanin fifth ranks. Highlight of the year was the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
