The Arkenu - craters are a pair of eroded impact craters in the eastern Sahara by al - Kufra in Libya.

They have a diameter of 10 and 6.8 kilometers. They are probably formed at the same time, as a result of a double strike less than 140 million years ( Cretaceous or younger). Both craters are visible on the surface yet.

On the basis of recent studies is doubtful that they are impact craters in the structures. It is assumed instead that they are the result of erosion. The Arkenu structures were therefore deleted from the Earth Impact Database.
