Arktikum Science Museum

Arktikum is a museum in the center of Rovaniemi, Finland.

The externally visible from afar glass vault, showing like a finger in the direction of north, is only the outward -emergent core of the museum. Arktikum actually consists of two institutions, the Provincial Museum of Lapland and the Arctic Centre.

The Arctic Centre

The Provincial Museum of Lapland

The Provincial Museum of Lapland proudly presents the exhibition Paths of the North against the peoples of the North and tells the story of Lapland. Impressions from the Sami culture exhibits convey both the Sami handicrafts, as well as the costumes of the seeds, which are exhibited here. The museum presents changing exhibitions. Reference is made ​​to life in total Lapland, but also on the lives of the people of the seeds in Lapland.
