Arlanza river

Medieval bridge at Lerma on the Arlanza

The Arlanza is a left tributary of the Arlanzón. It rises in the Sierra de la Demanda northeast of the town of Quintanar de la Sierra in Spain. On his way to the north-west, it flows through several places as Castrovido, Salas de los Infantes, Covarrubias and Lerma. In Palenzuela he finally empties into the Arlanzón.

The river is named after the Spanish wine region Arlanza with 410 hectares of vineyards, which is run by 12 wineries that produce annually about 600,000 liters of wine.
