Arledge Armenaki

Arledge J. Armenaki (* 1949 in Portland, Oregon) is an American cinematographer and university teachers.

Life

Since Arledge J. Armenaki was the son of a pilot of the U.S. Navy, he spent his childhood including in Morocco and London, England. Early on, he was enthusiastic about photography, so he studied from 1973 to 1976 at the renowned Brooks Institute of Photography, where he received his bachelor's degree in Performing Arts. After the blaxploitation film hero of the night he showed in 1979 his first self-responsible camera work, he turned further TV movies and B-movies like Dennis - The tormentor, death Greetings from beyond the grave and Witch Bitch - death from beyond the grave.

Since 1995 Armenaki was a lecturer for the camera at various universities, including 1990-1995 at the Brooks Institute of Photography from 1995 to 2005, the North Carolina School of the Arts. Since 2005 he is Assistant Professor of camera at Western Carolina University.
