Arlene Blum

Arlene Blum ( * March 1, 1945 ) is an American mountain climber, writer and environmental scientist. She became famous when she introduced the first all-female climbing team of Annapurna I, where she was also the first American Besteigerin. Even with the first wife roped to Mount McKinley, she belonged to. She was also the first American woman who took the ascent of Mount Everest in attack.
