Arlette Zola ( born April 29, 1949 in Fribourg ), civil Arlette Jaquet, is a Swiss singer. Her stage name is derived from the name of her stepfather René Quazzola.

Life

Arlette Zola grew up in Fribourg. In De la Grand -Fontaine her mother's restaurant, they entertained the guests by singing to the guitar. Their first record was funded by her stepfather, who gave her ties with the music industry. So she came to a disc AZ recording contract with the Parisian brand. End of 1966, the successful single Elles sont coquines appeared.

1967 was followed by the equally successful in the French-speaking world title Deux garçons pour une fille, le marin et la sirène and Je vous que n'aime. Also in Germany published recordings, but remained from big hits.

As of 1970, Arlette Zola withdrew from the music business. After her marriage in 1972 she led with her husband for several years a farm in the canton of Fribourg. With the support of the Geneva musician Alain Morisod Arlette Zola returned to the music business in 1982 and represented Switzerland at the Euro Vision Song Contest in English Harrogate. With Morisods composition Amour on t'aime she reached the 3rd place. In 1998, she appeared again on the Télévision Suisse Romande and took Morrisod a medley of their four biggest hits on 1966.

Today Arlette Zola lives in Fribourg and worked in the hospitality industry. In April 2009, a CD containing the original recordings of their old hits appeared.
