Arli National Park

The Arly National Park (French: Parc National d ' Arly ) is located in southeastern Burkina Faso, southwest of the Chaine de Gobnangou. To the west of the park is adjacent to other protected areas and forms a connected region uA with the partial de Réserve Pama. In the south of the National Park to the Pendjari River, at the southern shore (Benin ) borders the Pendjari National Park. The park covers 76,000 hectares of land.

On large animals, elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, antelope and several species of monkeys, hippos, crocodiles, Nile monitors, pythons and warthogs occur.

Besides Sudanese grass, tree and forest savannas, there are still true gallery forests that are in the Burkinabe culture country virtually disappeared. The Arly National Park is situated in 100 to 500 m above sea level. The annual rainfall is 1000 mm.

There are several tourist lodges.

By Arly National Park runs a traditional migration route of Fulani herdsmen. Every year attract large herds of cattle on a specified route through the park. The payment of per capita packages is handled by the National Park Service in the park itself.

Since 2009, the National Park Arly is also a Ramsarschutzgebiet.
