Armageddon Dildos
The Armageddon Dildos are a German EBM band, 1989 by Uwe Kanka (vocals) and Dirk Krause ( synthesizer) was founded in Kassel. The name is an allusion to tipped intercontinental ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads. The lyrics are partly German, partly in English.
Band History
1986 met the singer and guitarist Uwe Kanka and the keyboard player and programmer Dirk Krause in Kassel know each other. Three years later she founded the Armageddon Dildos. In the next few months, they already played their first concerts. The band sets its focus clearly on the constant sweaty live presence in concert, not only to the studio work.
The debut single East -West was a club hit in 1990 in the EBM scene. 1991 appeared after only 11 days production time the debut album That's Armageddon on the label Zoth Ommog, newly founded by Talla 2XLC.
With the follow-up album Homicidal Dolls, the band slowly dissolved by their role models ( DAF, Nitzer Ebb ), it presents sophisticated and straightforward. In 1994, the compilation 07104 appeared. Albums "Lost" and " Unite " still appear in Zoth Ommog, subsequently signed a contract with the Armageddon Dildos Metronome label.
The album Speed - more pop than the previous - was supposed to appear at the Metronome label, but ultimately was conditionally released by dissolution thereof by RCA. On his return to the label Zoth Ommog brought the band with the album Re: Match published a collection of remixes of popular songs. 2003, then the year of publication of dawn: the return to the electronic roots.
After the tours " Speed" ( 1997) and " Ten Years of Zoth Ommog Anniversary" (1999 ) and the release of the album Re: Match Dirk Krause left the band for personal reasons.
