Armand Amar

Armand Amar ( born 1953 in Jerusalem, Israel ) is a French composer.

Biography

Armand Amar grew up in Morocco. Since his youth he was interested in several styles of music and began self-taught himself to play several instruments, including Zarb and teach Tabla. Later he sought teachers to refine his skills. After he had in 1976 at the invitation of the South African choreographer Peter Goss Dance in contact and the actor Patrice Chéreau met, he studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur later even music. With the French composer Alain Weber 1994 he founded his own music publishing company. Since the early 2000s, he has worked as a film composer at the French Film. He has been nominated four times for the French César Film Awards, where he received an award as Best Composer for his music in the drama The concert was in 2010.
