Armand Renaud

Armand Renaud ( born July 29, 1836 in Versailles, Yvelines Dépt; . † October 15, 1895 in Paris) was a French poet.

Renaud earned his living as an employee of the management at the Paris City Hall. He was also briefly a colleague of Léon Valade. Later Renaud was transferred to the prefecture of the Seine département and the highlight of his career was the appointed " Inspecteur des Beaux -Arts ".

Friendship with the writer Stéphane Mallarmé he came Renaud in contact with the Parnassian. Today it is also one of Renaud to this literary association.

Reception

The entire literary creation Renaud betrays the influence of classical Persian and Japanese poetry. Many of his poems were set according to the zeitgeist by the composer Camille Saint- Saëns.
